Chandler Acoustic Stage |
Presented by LAMPERT'Sand BANK OF THE WEST |
Did you know that Chandler was the original name for the town of Spooner, that it was located north of present day Spooner near the junction of Hwy 53 & 63, and that it was moved to its present location to follow the railroad? It is also the name of the new acoustic stage at the Spooner Heritage Festival. Presented by bank of the West and Lampert’s Yards, the Chandler Stage will have free music, storytelling, contests, and other entertainment from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 16th. Located under the eves of the historical railroad depot in the Spooner rail yards, this acoustic stage provides an intimate environment for entertainers and audience alike. Here is a tentative schedule:
10:00 AM Yodeling Workshop with Cathy Mosher of The Buffalo Gals
11:00 AM Pie Baking Contest Tasting & Judging
12:00 PM Jim The Magician
1:00 PM Bubble Gum Blowing Contest
1:30 PM Historical Costume Contest
2:00 PM T.R.A.I.L.S. Youth Dance Troupe
3:00 PM David Drake
4:00 PM Jim The Magician

Magic is a unifying force. Some people want to "believe in it" and others want to "figure it out". It seems however, that all enjoy the excitement and surprise that Jim The Magician brings.
